 Introduction
Welcome
to the Tibetan Way portal. We are starting with the religious aspects
of Tibetan life but we will be expanding this to cover all aspects of
Tibet.
To the right is the 14th Dalai Lama - the Head of State
of Tibet, Nobel Peace Laureate, and one of the foremost lamas of the
Gelugpa (Yellow Hat Sect) lineage of Tibetan Buddhism.
The Dalai Lama will be visiting England in May 2008 and the relevant
info will be posted here shortly.
To
the left the menu will take you to information and links for the four
schools of Tibetan Buddhism. The image at the top of the menu is of
Cherezig - the bodhisattva widely regarded as the patron of Tibet whose
mantra is the famous Om Mani Padme Hum.
